Jason has an academic background as a teacher and administrator in the public school system. While serving as a principal, his staff would come into his office and share their life problems which became opportunities to pray and encourage. Over time, his mind couldn’t focus on school any longer. It was consumed with people and what the Bible said about their life and problems. A mentor in his local church began to train him in biblical counseling. This changed his life personally and professionally as it led to leaving public schools and moving his family out of state to serve in full time pastoral ministry.

His life-passion is discipleship and biblical counseling in the community of the local church and to the community that the local church serves. This has led to ACBC certification, training by Twelve Stones Ministries, and working on his D.Ed.Min in biblical counseling at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  His experiences include implementing biblical soul care in his local church, training biblical counselors, intensive crisis care counseling, leading workshops at conferences, consulting with local pastors, and serving on the core team of a regional network of churches.

Jason is married to Karla, and has two children, Cohen and Melanie. He loves fishing, hiking, playing family games, and watching football.
